A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid email addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it is stunningly simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires just one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a few clicks of the mouse in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all option for a mailbox, you will need to click on the sign with the same name, which will be to the right of each email address. Deactivating this option can be accomplished in the very same fashion and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a given domain name, you will get a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never alter or deactivate anything automatically.
